WHO WE ARE

 

Employers' Training Resource (ETR) administers the federal Workforce Investment Act Services for Kern, Inyo, and Mono counties. ETR is a department within the County of Kern which serves as the administrative arm of the Kern/Inyo/Mono Counties Workforce Investment Board.

Our Customers

Our customers are both individuals who are looking for jobs or training as well as businesses that need to hire new employees. 

 

Most all of our services are provided at no-cost, and in order for individuals to participate in some of our programs, they must meet qualifying criteria as outlined by the Federal Department of Labor.

 

Services to Businesses

  • Access to job applicants with a wide range of skills: Professional, Technical and Entry-level

  • Job applicant recruiting and screening

  • On-the-Job Training incentives

  • Outplacement Services when downsizing becomes necessary, known as Rapid Response

  • Tax credit verification for hiring individuals who qualify and incentives for businesses located in various geographic areas
