ESL Classes |
ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are designed to assist new English language learners in mastering a second language. In addition to studying English, students will have the opportunity to meet others who are facing similar challenges which can help all participants adapt more easily. |

GED Classes |
GED (General Education Development) classes are designed to assist students who did not complete high school and need to obtain their GED - the equivalent of a high school diploma in the United States. In order to attend colleges, community colleges and even trade schools in the US, a high school diploma or GED is required. |

The Career Resource Division of the Bakersfield Adult School, whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency through educational and occupational training, operates the Farmworker Opportunity Program (FOP). FOP provides paid work experience and on-the-job training along with soft skills training to farmworkers and their dependents. |
